I Have A Monkees Question...Again!
By Jennifer A. Smith - About.com - 07/12/2002

QUESTION: Hi, you probably remember me asking questions about the Monkees, but I just thought of one more I was hoping you could help me out with. Here it goes. Do you know who came up with the Monkees logo? Thanks very much...again! - Ashley (american_diva101@hotmail.com)

ANSWER: Hi Ashley. Wow you ask questions that really make me think, hehe! Well I know for certain that The Monkees logo is copyright and a registered trademark of Rhino Records. You will see that on almost every web page that has The Monkees on it. However, I had to search quite hard to find who actually designed it. A man called Nick LoBianco, as a favor to a friend at NBC, designed The Monkees guitar logo in 1966-- which I found quite interesting because I thought the logo may have come from one of the team involved with the show. I found this out at Lunch Box Pad and you can also view a picture of him and discover other things that he did. Well I hope this helps. Thank you for your question! It was fun finding out something I didn't know.
