I loved watching Pink Panther cartoons in the early 1980s, along with "The Inspector" and "The Ant and the Aardvark." These cels sure bring back memories! Each cel is hand signed by Friz Freleng, creator of Pink Panther. These original production cels are from the episodes, Jet Pink (1967) and Trail Of The Lonesome Pink (1974), which also is accompanied by the production drawing. I purchased these cels on eBay in February, 2003.

I have been a Nirvana fan since 1993, after first hearing "Heart-Shaped Box" on MTV. Once the music got me, I proceeded to amass a giant collection of Nirvana music. I bought up every CD I could find at the time, mostly through mail order and the old BB systems (before I found the web)-- which resulted in some hefty phone bills. I now have over 70 Nirvana CD's, plus some LP's and box sets. As a fan, I was a bit cheated though. I only had about seven months with Nirvana before the death of Kurt Cobain. I'll never forget the 1993 MTV New Years Eve show with Nirvana closing. What a set! Like people say about JFK, Elvis, and Lennon, I remember exactly where I was when I first heard of Cobain's death. It was April 8, 1994. I was sitting in my living room after getting home from school, eating a grilled cheese sandwich. The radio happened to be on, which was pretty strange for that time of day. When I heard the first reports I was stunned. It didn't hit me for some time after that, but one of music's most creative and genius minds was gone. Cobain was 27. It was a sad day for music.

If you lived in Western Massachusetts, chances are at some time you heard about or visited Mt. Park. It was your standard amusement park, and featured the standard rides: Merry-Go-Round, Funhouse, Roller Coaster, Bumper Cars, Ferris Wheel, Sky Ride, Rockets, and other various kiddie rides. Living in Holyoke, my grandfather used to take my sister and I there at least once a week for years. We'd get our hands stamped and be off. This face was part of the "Dinosaur Den" funhouse. After the park closed in 1988, well let's just say I acquired this item, as well as one other face. Each face is about 18 inches tall.

What child never played with LEGO? I only had one set, the Fire Station (#6385). If I'm not mistaken, it was purchased around Christmas 1984, or early 1985. Of course, my original set is long gone. I had to find this one on eBay, and it's still factory sealed. I can still hear the sound of those LEGO pieces snapping together. As a kid, it was only a matter of time before you lost some pieces. You ended up creating some LEGO monster, having lost many of the pieces needed to actually complete the set. Maybe I won't open this one!

If you're going to complain about a particular company, you might as well own a piece of them! This is another "accident" collectible. I saw an ad for a company that sells just one share of stock and I thought it might be a fun thing to collect. Back in 1999-2000, I had fun AND made money with internet IPO's, but I never actually owned the certificates. Wish I did, as most of those companies are now out of business. Walt Disney, eBay, Apple Computer, Yahoo!, and Microsoft are just some of my certificates. See a trend? Many of my shares are internet or technology related. These shares won't let me soon forget the "glory days" of tech on Wall Street. The "Clinton Economy" will forever be sorely missed!

This is the box that started it all. This is the first lunch box I purchased on eBay, the one that got me into collecting-- June 29, 1998 to be exact. The box and thermos cost $26.50, and as you can see, they are not in the best shape. I probably over-paid, but I really wanted this one. Over 100 boxes later I'm still going at it with no end in sight! I've since purchased an unused box still with its hang tag, but I can never part with this one. After all, this was the first. I dust it off once a year and then tuck it back away.
